Peer Review Process – Giyat: Education Science Journal

All manuscripts submitted to Giyat: Education Science undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure academic quality, originality, and relevance to the journal’s focus and scope.

1. Initial Screening

Each submission is first reviewed by the editorial team to evaluate its relevance, structure, and adherence to author guidelines. Manuscripts that do not meet the basic requirements or fall outside the journal’s scope may be returned to the author before the review stage.

2. Double-Blind Peer Review

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field. Both the reviewer’s and author’s identities are kept anonymous to maintain objectivity and fairness throughout the process.

3. Review Criteria

Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on the following criteria:

  • Originality and contribution to the field of education

  • Theoretical and methodological soundness

  • Clarity and organization of writing

  • Relevance to educational practice and research

  • Accuracy and appropriateness of references

4. Review Outcome

Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editorial team will decide whether the manuscript is:

  • Accepted without revision,

  • Accepted with minor or major revisions, or

  • Rejected due to low quality or irrelevance.

Authors will receive constructive feedback and are encouraged to revise and resubmit within the specified timeline if revisions are required.

5. Final Decision

The final decision regarding publication rests with the Editor-in-Chief, who ensures that all editorial and ethical standards are upheld.

6. Reviewer Ethics

Reviewers are expected to maintain confidentiality, provide unbiased feedback, and disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
